Your own Solar Power Plant

Become independent: produce solar electricity!

  • Save money and taxes.
  • Make a safe and future-oriented investment.
  • Help to generate local jobs instead of supporting major oil and uranium companies.
  • Be actively engaged in our environment’s preservation.

Installation site

Please ensure the solar plant to face southward, southwestwardly or southeastwardly and to be rarely shaded.
For Switzerland, the ideal collector slope is at 30°.

How it works

1 Solar panels

Our maintenance-free solar panels generate electricity for 30 to 50 years – under any and all weather conditions. The solar cells have been durably embedded in laminate. The hardened and annealed solar glass of highest transparency withstands lightning and hail. Respective surfaces are self-cleaning. Megasol grants a 25-year-performance guarantee on grid-connected solar panels!

2 Mounting structure

The assembly systems can be installed at record time and match with each and every solar panel. Both – Megasol’s on-roof as well as in-roof systems – provide excellent rear-ventilation and will generate top yields. We use high-quality materials such as stainless steel and aluminium.

3 Inverter

The inverter serves to automatically control the system and convert the direct current generated to mains-compatible 230V alternating current. Megasol offers the most efficient inverters available on the market, ensuring reliable operation at maximum safety. Possible malfunction is immediately reported via SMS alarm. The solar-production can be perfectly visualised on the internet.

4 Your home’s main control unit

A separate electricity meter serves to feed in any produced solar electricity via the main control unit. Your electrician will provide for the installation from inverter to main control unit.

5 Electric power provider

The alternating current installation will have to be registered with your electric power provider (feed-in request). Your Megasol consultant will handle all respective paperwork for you.

Financial questions

Throughout its economic life-time, a solar system will pay off more than just once!
The solar energy generated will be fed in the public grid and can be refunded differently:

a) You produce your own solar electricity

Cover all or part of your household’s power requirements. Your electricity bill will be lowered respectively.

b) Green power bourse

Some electric power companies or private green power exchange markets will purchase your produced solar electricity at higher rates in order to sell it as green electricity. For more information, please ask your electric power company. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

c) National feed refund

The Swiss Parliament has passed a resolution on Cost-Covering Feed Refund (KEV). The respective public sponsorship is granted for planned as well as already installed solar systems.
