Economic lifetime

Solar panels are highly weatherproof. Properly installed solar plants withstand sun, wind, snow, rain and hail.
A stand-alone system features an average economic life-time of 30 to 50 years. Its battery will usually have to be replaced after 10 to 12 years.

Maintenance

Solar plants are generally maintenance-free. They neither require setting nor inspection activities. Due to a special coating, which serves to clean the solar panels by rain, they don’t require any cleaning. Because the charge controller protects the battery from discharge and overcharge, it neither requires any servicing.

Recycling

All of your solar system’s components can be returned to Megasol for free recycling. Legacy or defect batteries you best return to a shop nearby your location. Car repair shops and DIY markets will also accept batteries for recycling. Our solar cells nearly consist of silicon only, which is recyclable too.
